Grover Beach Visioning Project

DC&E completed an extensive Visioning Project that helped City residents and stakeholders define a vision for their community as a first step towards updating its General Plan.  DC&E conducted a series of three public workshops that resulted in a consensus vision for the General Plan.  One of the workshops utilized computerized PLACE³S modeling to allow community members to understand how land use decisions would impact quality of life indicators such as pedestrian friendliness, jobs/housing balance, and traffic congestion.  Following the visioning exercise, DC&E designed a large-scale, graphic-intensive poster illustrating the key components contained in the consensus vision.  The poster was placed in City Hall and other civic buildings throughout the community to generate interest and enthusiasm for the General Plan Update.
