DC&E was a member of the consultant team that developed recommendations for changes to the TRPA regulatory framework and drafted a scope of work to implement those recommendations. The recommendations were related to creating greater efficiency in the regulatory process by streamlining regulations where appropriate, reducing complexity and improving consistency between the elements that make up the framework and laws of local jurisdictions. The project also took into account the changes to the management strategies and environmental thresholds that will result from the TRPA 2007 Regional Plan process that will need to be incorporated into TRPA's regulatory framework.
