Oroville General Plan and Development Code Update

City of Oroville

DC&E is updating the General Plan and Development Code for the City of Oroville, where there is strong growth pressure from housing markets to the north and south. Key issues to be addressed by the project include appropriate land supply to respond to market demands, potential annexations and sphere changes, economic development and affordable housing. DC&E will also conduct extensive outreach to the local Spanish and Hmong speaking communities, and is preparing a full EIR. In order to address Oroville’s immediate need for development regulations to ensure that new development makes a positive contribution to community design and character, DC&E is updating the City’s Development Code prior to updating the General Plan.
