Rancho Cucamonga General Plan

City of Rancho Cucamonga, as a subconsultant to Hogle-Ireland

DC&E will write the Economic Development Element of the City’s General Plan and assist in the preparation of the Land Use and Transportation Elements as they are influenced by the results of economics analysis. DC&E is working with Strategic Economics to understand the relationship between regional and local economic trends and land use for the City, including the demand for land by industry sector and employment area, jobs-housing balance, and company locational preferences and policies. Based on Strategic Economics’ findings, DC&E will evaluate the role that transportation plays in enabling the local workforce to access jobs, paying particular attention to public transit opportunities such as Metrolink. DC&E will also used this information to document job distribution by sector in Rancho Cucamonga as compared to the Inland Empire as a whole, contributing to the body of work depicting regional employment trends for the region.
