Exxon Car Wash EIR

Town of Danville

DC&E prepared the EIR for a proposed service station, convenience store, and car wash on a 1.35-acre site in the Town of Danville. The project site was part of the Dougherty Road General Plan Amendment, in the vicinity of the Blackhawk Shopping Center and sensitive single-family residential areas. Issues addressed through the environmental analysis were the potential for biological resource impacts, including possible impacts to the California red-legged frog, light and glare issues, the project's conformity to the Town's design objectives, and the potential for hazardous material spills and water quality impacts to the adjacent West Alamo Creek. The EIR included a thorough discussion of regulations governing the construction and operation of gas stations which facilitated the community's understanding of these issues.
