Oakhurst Country Club Light and Glare Study
Presley Homes and the City of Clayton
DC&E was hired by Presley Homes and the City of Clayton to conduct a light and glare study of newly built Oakhurst Country Club. Clayton is a small but growing city on the eastern slopes of Mt. Diablo, which seeks to preserve its rural characteristics as it continues to develop. The study was conducted according to the conditions of the use permit six months after the Country Club opened. It included a survey of the surrounding area for light and glare impacts from the Country Club tennis court and club house lights, as well as comparison between how the facilities were approved and actually built.
