U-Haul School Site Environmental Assessment

DC&E prepared environmental review documents for a new OUSD campus housing two new elementary schools, one middle school and an early childhood education center on the U-Haul property and surrounding parcels in East Oakland. Key environmental issues included possible hazardous materials remediation due to the previous industrial use of the site and the impacts of increased traffic in the area. DC&E's work helped the School District to solve site design and traffic engineering issues for the site.
