Long Range Development Plan EIR

DC&E prepared the environmental review documents for UC Berkeley's Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) Update, which outlines the campus development program though 2020 based on projections for program needs and student enrollment. DC&E managed a team of subconsultants and completed its own EIR sections on land use; population, employment and housing; aesthetics and visual issues; infrastructure and public services; geology, soils and seismic; hydrology; and cultural resources. DC&E was also charged with developing the project alternatives and participating in public meetings. Key environmental issues included traffic impacts on residential neighborhoods, visual impacts, and potential land use conflicts.
