Crocker Art Museum Expansion EIR

City of Sacramento

Crocker Art Museum Expansion EIR for the City of Sacramento. The Crocker Art Museum in Downtown Sacramento was established in 1885 and is the oldest public art museum west of the Mississippi River. The Mansion building was built in 1854, and the Gallery building was completed in 1883. The Crocker Art Museum Association is planning to add 100,000 square feet of new exhibit, classroom and office space to the museum in a modern addition that will connect to the Gallery building through a third story skywalk. DC&E prepared the EIR for this project, including detailed documentation of the historic features of the museum and an evaluation the potential impacts of the proposed addition on the historic integrity of the site.
