Administration Building and Bus Maintenance Facility Categorical Exclusion

Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA)

In anticipation of continued growth in the Tri-Valley area, LAVTA planned to expand its fleet over the next 20 years and LAVTA had received preliminary funding from the Federal Transit Authority to construct a new administrative building and maintenance yard near its existing facilities in Livermore.  DC&E prepared the environmental clearance studies under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to allow LAVTA to receive the federal funds.  Key environmental issues addressed in the study included land use compatibility, noise, air quality and cultural resources.  The report was completed on a fast track schedule to ensure the agency remained eligible for the funding cycle.
