North Chico Retail and Annexation Environmental Impact Report

DC&E is preparing an Environmental Impact Report on a 242,000 square foot retail development on a 20-acre parcel within Chico. The EIR analyzes both the retail project and the annexation of an approximately 148-acre area of land immediately north of the current Chico city limit. In addition to a complete analysis of potential environmental impacts, the EIR contains a state-of-the-art assessment of the potential for blight resulting from the possible failure of surrounding businesses to compete over time with the proposed retail development.
