Costco Expansion EIR for the City of Chico. DC&E is completing this EIR for the demolition of a 123,000 square-foot Costco store and construction of an expanded store on the same parcel and an adjacent parcel combined. In addition to analyzing the potential environmental impacts of constructing an expanded Costco store, the EIR is examining the environmental impacts associated with the General Plan Amendment and zoning re-designation that would be required to allow for the expanded store on the parcel adjacent to the existing store site.
