Bridge Creek Protection Permits

City of Oakland, as a subconsultant to URS Corporation

The City of Oakland's creek ordinance includes permitting guidelines for development and construction projects taking place in or near creeks, with the goal of avoiding or limiting negative impacts to creek environments. DC&E navigated the Creek Protection Permit process for URS Corporation, who is designing seismic retrofitting improvements for City of Oakland bridges. DC&E gathered the needed data and prepared creek protection plans and associated graphics for three specific projects. DC&E assisted with the assessment of site conditions, reviewed plans to minimize disturbance to the creeks, and identified reports and data needed to prepare permit applications for each bridge.
