DC&E is preparing visual simulations and design alternatives for Prefumo Creek Commons, a mixed-use development proposed near downtown San Luis Obispo. DC&E’s visual simulations utilize a variety of digital media to evaluate potential impacts of the project to adjacent land uses, with consideration of views to hillsides, sunlight access, and glare impacts. Based on these simulations, DC&E will prepare a visual impact analysis, as well as mitigation measures that address site design and building layout, with the goal of preserving view corridors and access to light and air. DC&E will also work with the City to develop conceptual-level alternative site designs that explore residential densities and mixed use development types for the project site that are consistent with the San Luis Obispo Airport Land Use Plan.
