Albany Watershed Management Plan

The Albany Watershed Management Plan went beyond the traditional engineering methods of controlling drainage runoff by incorporating stream restoration, water quality protection and habitat enhancement into one coordinated approach for the City's use in planning, managing and improving Albany's watersheds. A team of engineers, hydrologists and ecologists prepared a video record of five creeks, including biological channel mapping; identified and analyzed creek issues; recommended restoration projects based on function, opportunities, past creek studies, and public policy; and prioritized the recommendations and actions into short and long-term projects.
