Marina Village Landscape Management Plan
Marina Village Homeowners' Association
WMA was hired by the residents of Marina Village, in Alameda, California, to provide a vision and new direction for the landscaping in this existing condominium development of over 85 units. The previously existing landscape had a number of problems with poor choices of trees, trees at the end of their lifespans, gaps in the landscape, turf root conflicts and drainage. WMA worked with the HOA Board, Landscape Committee and the HOA's maintenance crew to address these problems through a Landscape Management Plan that included a full site assessment, a new design concept, a list of appropriate replacement plant materials, cost estimates and quality standards. WMA's work allowed the community to update and maintain its landscaping following a set of clearly articulated policies that will ensure a vibrant, thriving landscape over time.
