Inkwells Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge
Marin County Department of Parks, Open Space and Cultural Services
DC&E designed a conceptual plan for a bridge and salmon viewing platform for the culturally sacred place known as "the Inkwells" on San Geronimo Creek. The site is composed of a small waterfall, pools, and moss-covered boulders, and also accommodates an existing water pipeline. Following an extensive community and agency participation process, DC&E created a conceptual plan that responds to the ecological framework of the site, creates a safe connection for pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians, and ties the pipeline infrastructure into the overall bridge structure.
