Lower Peninsula, West Valley and Guadalupe Watershed Stewardship Plans

Santa Clara Valley Water District, as a subconsultant to Tetra Tech.

DC&E was the lead facilitator for a two-year process of watershed stewardship planning in the northern part of Santa Clara County. Working under the leadership of Tetratech, DC&E assisted in the development of multi-disciplinary studies that relate to watershed stewardship and facilitated stakeholder meetings and public workshops to encourage watershed stewardship on a community-wide basis. In addition, DC&E completed GIS land use analysis and identified opportunities for open space and trails in the fourteen subwatersheds that make up the Lower Peninsula, West Valley and Guadalup Watershed. Finally, DC&E helped develop a ranking approach to assist the District and agency staff in implementing the stewardship concepts that are contained in the watershed stewardship plans.
