Foothill Boulevard Streetscape Design Project

DC&E prepared a streetscape master plan and 35 percent construction documents for a one-mile segment of Fruitvale’s Foothill Boulevard to create a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly, neighborhood-serving commercial destination. DC&E’s design process incorporated previous design efforts by the Unity Council and integrates extensive input from the predominantly Latino community. The final streetscape design responds to the specific needs of local residents and reflects the unique multicultural character of the Foothill Boulevard corridor. DC&E is currently preparing updated design development documents for the City of Oakland as the project moves towards implementation along the Foothill Boulevard corridor.
