The San Joaquin Delta Community College Lodi Center Riverwalk Master Plan

The development of the new 120-acre Delta Community College Lodi Center will include an environmentally sensitive Riverwalk along the Mokelumne River. The objective of the Riverwalk Master Plan is to design a naturalistic open space, passive recreation and multi-use bicycle and pedestrian trail system that incorporates the floodplain and natural river edge, while maintaining sensitive plant and animal habitat. The Riverwalk will be a signature feature of the Lodi Center allowing students to develop hands-on, practical experience related to environmental science, viticulture, and culinary arts. Additionally, the Riverwalk will provide public access for students and local residents to the natural environment, passive recreation opportunities and amenities of the Mokelumne River.
