Early Care and Education for All Plan
First 5 Alameda County
DC&E worked with the early care and education (ECE) community in Alameda County to create a comprehensive plan to address care and education for infants to five-year old children. The DC&E team conducted research, collected and analyzed data, and identified policy and systems changes that will assist in better delivery of resources and services. DC&E also led a process to create a consensus mission and vision statement and an action plan with concrete goals, implementable policies and specific action steps. The resulting ECE for All Plan is serving the ECE community as it works to provide high-quality care and education for all children for the first five years of life. This project won the Northern California Section APA Award for Contribution to Women & Families in 2007.
