LEED™ Residential Guidelines

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)

WMA staff chaired the USGBC's Site Planning Subcommittee for the preparation of the LEED„¢ Residential Guidelines. Gathering together experts from across the building community, the USGBC faced a significant challenge in translating its site planning guidelines for commercial buildings to the residential market. WMA worked with a team of experts in irrigation, landscape design, architecture, urban planning, and water policy, and with private home builders, trade associations, environmental-advocacy groups, and public utilities, to piece together a draft embraced by the entire subcommittee.
