Berkeley Bicycle Plan

David Early served as a key member of a team that prepared a new bicycle plan for Berkeley. The plan included innovative strategies to encourage bicycle commuting, such as new "bike boulevards" and "slow streets," new standards for bike lanes, improved bicycle access across the Interstate 80 freeway, and potential street closures to motor vehicles in congested areas. Once a draft plan was completed, Mr. Early also facilitated several public meetings at which the plan was discussed.*
