Indirect Source Emission Minimization Strategies Study

David Early served as the prime land use consultant for this study. The consultant team, led by JHK & Associates, worked to identify and document land use strategies to reduce vehicle trips and air pollution. The project involved collecting data on the relationship between land use and transportation, and developing performance standards for vehicle emissions in various types of California communities based on the communities' land use and urban design characteristics. Mr. Early assisted with categorization of various communities, definition of the land use and design strategies, and identification of measures to implement the strategies.*
