BART to Livermore Extension Planning

San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), as a subconsultant to Wilbur Smith Associates

After many false starts, BART is now in the process of planning to extend BART service eastward to Livermore from its current terminus at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station. DC&E is a key member of the consultant team that is assessing alternative alignments for the extension. DC&E is coordinating all public outreach efforts related to the project, including the management of public meetings and hearings, media outreach, project website, coordination with political decision makers and key stakeholders, and public relations. DC&E is also preparing the Land Use and Visual Resources sections of the EIR and advising on station-area urban design and land use issues. The project will result in a Program EIR that will allow BART to begin the process of protecting right-of-way and embarking on preliminary project design.
