Marin County Pedestrian Pocket Study
David Early served as a member of one of the first design studios to study the concept of the "pedestrian pocket," a cluster of urban development within a 1/4-mile walking distance of a proposed light rail station. Working with a potential development site in Marin County's Highway 101 corridor, the study showed how land uses could be arrayed around a central station core to create a pleasant mixed-use community, while allowing for retention of surrounding open space.*
