Lemoore Downtown Revitalization Plan

This award-winning downtown plan created marketing and design solutions for the revitalization of the core area of this Central Valley town. Drawing on market analyses and seismic and historical building evaluations, the plan set up a framework for the preservation and enhancement of existing buildings and uses, and suggested methods to attract new uses and businesses to the Downtown. Major components of the Plan included a Naval Air Museum celebrating the nearby Naval Air Station, a regional entertainment center, and downtown housing.* This project won the National APA Award for Planning Implementation by a Small Jurisdiction in 1995.

The Lemoore Downtown Revitalization Plan received the National Award for Outstanding Planning Implementation by a Small Jurisdiction from the American Planning Association.
