East 14th Street Urban Design Study

David Early served as project manager for the preparation of design guidelines for a twelve-block section of East 14th Street in Oakland.  The project involved analysis of existing land uses, policies and building stock in this thriving Latino community, as well as formulation of design guidelines to preserve and enhance the area.  The planning process included several public meetings, among them a walking tour and an alternatives workshop.*
