Downtown Vision Plan

City of Cotati

DC&E conducted a community visioning process for the City of Cotati for the six-sided downtown La Plaza area known also as the "Hub."  The process was conducted before a Task Force of community members and included a site analysis, a visual preference workshop, community idea generation and alternatives development.  The alternatives were synthesized and refined with the input of the Task Force to create a Downtown Vision Plan which included a Vision Statement that defined preferred uses, approximate densities, parking strategies and strategies for the retention of existing buildings and uses.  The final plan described land uses, circulation, parking, building massing, open spaces and landscaping through plan and perspective drawings to be used in a subsequent update of the existing La Plaza Specific Plan.
