Berkeley Southside Neighborhood Art Survey

Chaplaincy to the Homeless

DC&E  worked with the non-profit Chaplaincy to the Homeless and student interns from UC Berkeley to develop and administer a survey regarding public art in Berkeley's Southside.  The objective of the survey was to garner ideas for locations and types of public art that would reflect the diverse population of residents, merchants, shoppers and others who visit, live or work in the Telegraph Avenue neighborhood.  The survey results provided artists and arts organizations with direction on community desires for public art and thus streamlined the permitting process for public art in the neighborhood.
