Sonoma Plaza Pedestrian Corridor and Land Use Study

City of Sonoma

DC&E developed a plan with three alternative site designs for the City of Sonoma to enhance the city's "backyard" and connect it to the Sonoma Plaza. The plan included the study of six key properties, including property owned by the State Department of Parks and Recreation, a privately owned parcel that had recently been bequeathed to the City, a City-owned park and County-owned recreational fields. Working in a historical resource-sensitive environment, DC&E developed three alternatives that accommodated a pedestrian corridor, an art museum, a non-profit center, new State Park offices, a hotel and parking for the Sonoma Plaza.
