Southern Waterfront Design

City of Suisun City

DC&E assisted the City of Suisun in creation of a development concept plan for its Southern Waterfront. Current marine services and public access land uses in the project area have developed over time without a clear guiding plan to ensure efficient land use or adequate connections for pedestrians and vehicles. In collaboration with City staff, officials and community members, DC&E developed a site plan that maximizes site efficiency, links varied uses into a coherent whole, and expands and enhances existing amenities. Building on the City's recent success with downtown and waterfront projects, the development concept plan includes a mixed-use waterfront building, waterfront amenities, connection to the City's waterfront promenade and trail network, reorganization and consolidation of a variety of site parking needs, and consolidation of site utilities.
